It feels like every other day we hear a new remix of a Local Native track, and they always deliver. We're not even close to getting tired of it. This time, Local Natives track "Camera Talk" gets a dreamwave style remix from Blackbird Blackbird. Give it a listen below and you'll just slowly move to the beat. That's the sound that we love Blackbird Blackbird for.

Below, check out a great Miike Snow remix of "The Kids Don't Stand A Chance" by Vampire Weekend. The original track came from Vampire Weekend's 2008 self titled full length debut, that really put this band on the map. Miike Snow takes this track and gives it a bit more bounce, making for a very good remix. Enjoy.

Here's a cool song from Prizes to set you off into your chilled out weekend. It's called "Rumours" and it's got a consistent beat that just takes you to a different mind set and a different place. The London based band, formerly known as Treasure, used the Myspace headline space to say "slow dancing in a hot tub" and I think that about says it all.

Enjoy the jam and have a good weekend!

Highland Park's Fol Chen has just released The Holograms EP; a collection of remixes for track, "The Holograms" by FUR, Hard Mix, Primary 1, and our favs, Teen Daze. The free EP available for download on Bandcamp doesn't seem to support any particular move with the band, but is gladly welcomed by fans.

Click below to hear "The Holograms (Teen Daze Remix)" and then make sure to get the whole EP on Bandcamp.

Over the last two weeks, we've been tweaking out on the new Best Coast record. And the song that still can't find it's way out of our heads is "Boyfriend." But luckily we came across this refreshing "Boyfriend" remix by Ghostwaves. The track gives Best Coast's Bethany the background energy that she needs to float behind her intoxicating voice. We're calling this a perfect match and two thumbs up. We think you'll like it too.

New York based The Knocks have just dropped the summer feel good song of 2010. Released last week, "Make It Better" is now available on limited edition 7" with b-side "Make It Better (Emil & Friends Remix)." To complement the 7" release, the band also released a digital remix pack of the track featuring remixes from DOM, Monsieur Adi, and Good Goose. Listen to the original version of "Make It Better" below, and if you don't like it, you're probably not a happy person.

If you like your lo-fi really lo-fi, you'll probably be into this cut from Brooklyn noise-pop upstarts Night Manager. It doesn't look like there are any releases on the horizon from these folks yet, so feel free to blow your eardrums out with "Wolf Pyramid" below. Note: the song starts incredibly aggressive and then gets into it's stride. Make it past the first few seconds and you're in for a treat of lo-fi proportion.

Philadelphia based Caring Practice is the lofi tribal sounding band of Matthew Hampson from Power Animal. While not over the moon, we just kind of fancy the track "Boyalty" heard below. Download or stream below and look out for 5 fresh new songs next week.

Figures arise from water, descend on a group of natives, and get very violent in this strange and disturbing clip from the tribal rock outfit WU LYF. The band is bazaar and their Myspace profile is about as good as a lump of rocks.

Beat Connection is a fantastic new duo we just discovered based out of Seattle, WA. The band just released the Surf Noir EP for free through Bandcamp, loaded with 8 solid tracks that play around with electronic beats, indie lofi tones, generally instrumental, and pretty much awesome. Download the whole record now and sample track 1, "Sunburn" below.
