Kevin Drew and Do Make Say Think multi-instrumentalist/BSS collaborator Ohad Benchetrit named this “All To All” remix after Drew’s 2007 solo collection Spirit If…. Not just to sell more copies of Spirit If…. This version empties out the Forgiveness Rock Record anthem, transforming it into a ambient exploration of space that would fit well on Drew’s earlier, sparer, weirder outing. And much like that older collection, it’s “solo” only in spirit.

Neon Indian x Anoraak

In support of his new full length debut, Wherever The Sun Sets, out digitally in two weeks, Anoraak gives Neon Indian a makeover with his remix of "Psychic Chasms" for the Mind Ctrl: Psychic Chasms Possessed CD. The track stays spacey as ever, keeping with the Neon Indian vibe but with an original twist that works great.

This is what the end of the summer sounds like. Bring on the Fall.

Matt And Kim

When we started this little blog here, our first ever music post came by a band named Matt & Kim. Now the indie power pop duo are back, set to release their third studio album, Sidewalks, on November 2nd. To kick off the campaign, the band has released their first single from the record, titled "Camera" which shows a new sound to the band. Give it a listen below and let us know what you think.

Real Estate

It's been a minute since we've heard any new recorded material from New Jersey suburban rockers Real Estate. Well, that minute's up - the band has a new 7", Out of Tune, out October 12 via True Panther. The release was recorded by Jarvis Taverniere of like-minded Brooklyn outfit Woods and will feature two new tunes, "Reservoir" and the title track, which features synth-drone capo Oneohtrix Point Never. Sacred Animals x Ghost Waves

Below, check out the lovely new Sacred Animals track, "Wired, Islands" as remixed by GhostWaves. Clearly pulling from influences like Grizzly Bear and Thom Yorke, the Dublin based band with help from Ghost Waves, is able to craft an undeniable ambient sound that works really well.

We Are Trees

We Are Trees is a Virgina Beach, Virginia 4-piece band that meticulously weave together beautiful acoustic, folk-pop melodies reminiscent of folks like Grizzly Bear and the Morning Benders. The project of songwriter James Nee, We Are Trees also features violinist Rocky Capizzi, cellist Pearl McReynolds and drummer Josiah Schlater. Their debut EP is titled Boyfriend, and it features four beautiful cuts built around lush, dramatic folk instrumentation founded on a bed of strings (cello and violin) alongside heavy tom drums and Nee’s dry, full vocals.

Dominant Legs

Capitalizing on newfound free-time, as a result of being laid off from his job as an office assistant, Ryan Lynch began to write the glittering ballads and blurred-out pop songs that, with the addition of Hannah Hunt, makes Dominant Legs. Dominant Legs' sincere and dance-y pop songs tap into a sound that is at once naively sweet and self-consciously tragic. Below, try "About My Girls" from the new Young at Love and Life EP, released yesterday.

Menomena

Menomena is back and on their third album, Mines, they have found their most comfortable sound yet. The Portland, OR based band signed to Barsuk takes experimental indie pop to a new level with below track, "Wet & Rusting." The band recently did Fallon, PitchforkTV... and now with a b!POP plug, we're sure this band is finally going to take off.

On tour throughout the entire Fall, keep this band on your back to school radar.

Teen Daze

It's been over a month since we've posted something Teen Daze related so it's time we change that. Below, enjoy a cover of Japandroids "Wet Hair" as done by Teen Daze. The track has those traditional washed out lofi qualities that we've consistently heard in the last few tracks, but with a new addition of a electro beat to keep the song pumping. We love it.
