The Ruby Suns are a California born but New Zealand based indie band signed to Sub Pop Records. The band just released second album, Fight Softly, yesterday, describing it in their bio as "the kind of head-spinning combination of big-picture vision and sumptuous detail that only comes from an artist with an urgent need to express all the stuff he’s seen. And you can dance to it!" I think that just about sums it up. Oh, and the band is touring with Toro Y Moi. That's pretty cool.
Since this band is so rad, we posted two tracks for your to download; "Cranberry" and "Tane Mahuta." We're loving both and we hope you do too.
