The British Film Institute has released a restoration of the very first Alice in Wonderland film from 1903. Shot on 35mm, the film was directed by Cecil Hepworth and Percy Stow. With a running time of just 12 minutes (8 of which survive), Alice in Wonderland was the longest film produced in England at that time and is absolutely fascinating.
