The Wall Street Journal has laid out a set of rumors for the Apple Tablet that might make next Wednesday's apparent Apple announcements that much more interesting. And the rumors are... The tablet will come with a virtual keyboard (obviously), New York Times, Conde Nast, and News Corp. will have a large presence within the tablet, EA will launch loads of games for the tablet upon release, Bing may become the default search engine, and a TV subscription service may be available.

Designed in Japan by Koichi Futatsumata, the Case-Real Elekit Tube Amplifier is a beautiful vacuum tube hybrid stereo amplifer. Featuring a metal body with two beautiful tubes sticking out of the top, the machine is lightweight and compatible with any portable music player. Without an overload of buttons to clutter the look, the design is beautiful and minimalist, like it should be. No price details have been released yet but should be soon.

Nerd alert. From Toronto based designer, Willie Tsang, the Four Eyes USB key is a dual functioning item working as both a USB storage drive and a bookmark. It's geek chic silhouette pays tribute to nerd culture while storing up to 2GB of your dorkiest files. The thick black frame was modeled after the stereotypical social awkward nerd and can be purchased here for $29.

The Rambler Socket is a recoiling socket designed by Meysam Movahedi. This 1.5 meters cord unfurls from it's cavity behind its socket. When you don’t need extensions, it’s neatly tucked away. When you need it, simply pinch the sides and wind it out. Once finished, give the cord a tug and it will gently recoil back into place.
